This guide is intended to show you how to remove the LCD from a Nokia 6280 mobile phone. It assumes you have already removed the front cover panel from the phone. If you don't know how to do this, you may be able to find a guide here: http://forums.mobileburn.com/showpost.php?p=114323&postcount=10
To put the LCD back in and return the phone to its original state, simply reverse the steps shown here.

This guide assumes absolutely NO RESPONSIBILITY. The writer of the guide is not liable for any damage you may do to your phone. If you are not confident with pulling apart electronic devices, you should perhaps not try this. Having said that, if you want to learn how to do things for yourself, or you have had some experience in similar areas as this (such as repairing laptop computers) you should find this fairly simple to do.

Step 1: Once the front cover is off, you need to prise the "soft button" panel up. Use a precision (very small) flat-headed screwdriver to do this. The glue is only found on the sides of the panel and is rather soft and weak. (See picture)

Once the glue is unstuck, you need to pop the button panel's connector plug. This is situated at the underside of the top-right of the button panel when looking at the phone as per usual. In the picture above, the connector location is highlighted in red. Minimal force is required to unplug it. You should be able to do it all with the small screwdriver.

Now you should see the LCD connector plug to the left side. This is also easily removed using the screwdriver. You may need to use one of your fingers or thumb to hold the orange flexi-cable down as you unplug it with the screwdriver as it will flex up when you apply some leverage.

Next, remove the silver LCD frame. There are four (4) clips holding it in place. These can be seen if you look closely. The lower-right hand clip is highlighted in the picture below:

Here are the locations of the clips:

Simply slip the small screwdriver down next to the clip, lever away from the LCD and lift the clip upwards out of the phone housing. No force is required.

The LCD will now fall away from the phone housing when you tip the phone upside-down.

LCD installation is the reverse of this process.
